In this workshop, we’re going to chat about the real-world rise of AI in our community and what it actually means for our well-being. We’ll look at what the latest research tells us about using AI as a stand-in for real therapy or mental health support, cutting through the hype so you can see the bigger picture. My goal is for you to walk away with a clear understanding of AI, helping you make confident, informed choices about how you want to use it in your day-to-day life.

More about me:
My name is Tina, and I am a registered clinical counsellor at Shoreline Counselling. I'm also a first-generation Chinese immigrant and my experiences with therapy helped me improve my relationship with self and develop a better understanding of my own identity.
In my practice, I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals who struggle with overthinking, negative self-talk, and heightened stress, as well as those working to heal from past trauma. I also work with youth and caregivers around challenges like anxiety, low mood, big emotions, navigating friendships, and building self-esteem. Additionally, I partner with parents and caregivers to help them learn practical tools for listening, communicating, setting healthy limits, and strengthening their connection with their teens.
