Fort Langley

Hi, I’m Jakob (he/him)! I have a background in supporting youth through mental health and life transitions, as well as individuals with disabilities. I am passionate about walking alongside you as you navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and relationship or identity transitions. I strive to create a space where you can be yourself, fully and without judgment. I would be glad to support you through whatever may be getting in the way of living your life more fully.

I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Trinity Western University. My approach to therapy is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and I tend to approach our work through a systemic, attachment-based, and relational lens. I believe that healing happens in connection and through accepting our authentic selves. Therapy with me is collaborative. Together, we can make space for what your emotions are trying to tell you and notice how your body responds. I believe in the deep power of self-compassion and support you in cultivating it. I consider it a privilege to sit with you through things that feel heavy and hard.

I welcome folks from all walks of life and am committed to holding a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for every client. Everyone deserves to feel accepted, heard, and seen in the therapy room, and I would be honoured to support you. I look forward to supporting individuals and families at a reduced intern rate.
