If you’re feeling overwhelmed with the day to day, or you feel like social media is shaping how you see yourself in ways that don’t feel good, you are not alone. These are the real and tender parts of navigating life today that can be hard to carry on your own. Together we can hold a space where you can slow down, collaborate and make sense of what is happening, and reconnect with your steadier sense of self.

Your Healing and Growth with a Registered Clinical Counsellor

As we sit together, my intention is to offer you a steady and supportive space as we begin to explore your unique path of healing. I believe that we each carry wisdom within us, especially in our bodies, and that counselling can be a space to gently reconnect with that inner knowing. My approach is grounded in collaboration and compassion with an understanding that the ways we’ve learned to connect often shape how we experience the world. Together we’ll bring curiosity to your experiences, along with clinical insight and reflection on patterns, as we begin to chart a path forward that feels true to you.

My Journey to Counselling

Before coming into private practice, I worked in crisis counselling and case management within community programs for youth and adults. This experience taught me the importance of meeting people exactly where they are at with respect, presence, and care. Taking time to raise my two kids, prior to completing my Masters in Counselling Psychology and returning to work, helped to shape the way that I build relationships in and out of the therapeutic space with genuine empathy and free from judgement. My interests are rooted in my own personal experiences and reflections with grief, partnership, and parenting that have strengthened my appreciation for the strength and resilience we each carry.

Who I Work With in Counselling Sessions

I work with children (ages 8+), youth, adults and couples who are navigating a range of life experiences. This might include anxiety, depression, navigating grief and loss, the impacts of trauma, and parenting. I also support individuals navigating through their fertility and perinatal journeys as well as couples with relationship repair.

I also work with those who are eligible for support through the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP), which provides benefits to assist victims of violent crime, immediate family members, and witnesses in British Columbia with their recovery and healing process. I provide in-person counselling and eMental health services including online therapy, video therapy, and telehealth sessions.

My training in Somatic Attachment Therapy (Bringing the Body into Practice), Emotion Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), and Introduction to Play Therapy shapes the work that I bring into our sessions. No matter what brings you in, my focus is on creating a space where you feel supported, understood, and not alone with what you’re carrying.

Underneath most suffering is the unbearable pain of having been alone with it for too long. I bring steadiness, clarity, and clinical experience to help you name what’s been too hard to hold alone and begin the work of healing. Together, we’ll navigate the terrain of your experiences so that you don’t have to walk it alone and so that change becomes possible. My goal as your therapist is to offer clinical insight and movement towards something different.
