The holidays can bring up a range of emotions, and with the expectation to celebrate and experience joy, grief can sometimes feel difficult to make space for.
Grief can be connected to many different experiences, including the death of a loved one or pet, changes in important relationships, and feeling disconnected from people who matter to us. As the holidays approach, you may find yourself anticipating grief or wondering how it will fit into the holiday season.
This webinar offers an opportunity to better understand and normalize grief, explore how it can show up during the holidays, and consider what making space for your own experience might look like.
My hope is that you leave this webinar with greater compassion for your own experience of grief, along with practical ideas for making space for, expressing, and honouring it. We will explore ways to navigate the holiday season, including boundaries you might want to set to care for your needs. At the heart of this talk is the reminder that you are not alone in your experience of grief, and that it is allowed to take up space alongside the other emotions the holidays may bring.

More about me:
My name is Alex, and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor at Shoreline Counselling. As a therapist, I work with people to help make space for their emotions, better understand their experiences, and build compassion for themselves along the way. I believe in bringing my professional knowledge while also showing up as my authentic self, recognizing that we are all learning, growing, and navigating the ups and downs of being human.
Outside of work you can often find me getting creative and crafty, reading a fantasy book, spending time with friends and family, and heading out for walks and adventures with my dog Olive.
